Dinwiddie Does Not Disappoint on Homecoming Night

The Generals get the ball down field.

The Dinwiddie Generals (7-0) hosted the Petersburg Crimson Wave (3-4) on Oct 20. It was Homecoming night for the Generals.
Dinwiddie received the opening kickoff, however fumbled on the first drive. Petersburg then began to drive and converted on a 4th down play. Just when it looked like the Crimson Wave were going to score,
The Generals stopped them on another 4th down attempt. Dinwiddie then took over the rest of the 1st quarter with a K’ymon Pope rushing TD and a 40 yard field goal by Todd Anspach. Petersburg would get on the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter with a TD pass to Zyshawn White.
Dinwiddie responded by shutting down the Petersburg offense and scoring the next 4 TDs of the game. K’ymon Pope had another rushing TD.
Ohio State bound K’vaughan Pope returned a blocked punt for a TD, Zyan Sturdivant had a rushing TD and Robert Barlow closed out the 1st half with a receiving TD.
After one half it was Dinwiddie 36 Petersburg 6. Dinwiddie would shut out Petersburg in the 2nd half, adding 2 more TD’s, one to Robert Barlow and another to Cla’trey Reese. The final was 52-6 The Generals were led by K’ymon Pope who accounted for 4 TDs in all, 2 passing and 2 rushing. Robert Barlow had a breakout game for Dinwiddie with 108 yards Receiving and 2 TDs,
He also had a defensive interception. Petersburg was led by QB Meziah Scott who threw for 235 yards and a TD.
It was Dinwiddie’s 8th win on the season and they remain undefeated.Homecoming King was K’vaughan Pope and Queen was Marlea Akintomide. Dinwiddie travels to Hopewell Oct 27, which should be a high scoring game between 2 teams with deep playoff aspirations.
