United Way holds second report meeting

The United Way of Hopewell-Prince George held its second report meeting and breakfast, sponsored by James River Cogeneration Facility, Tuesday morning at Dockside Restaurant.
Mark Haley, Chairman thanked the crowd of around 25 volunteers gathered to report on the campaign. Some still haven’t kicked off their internal campaigns. Of those who have, Linda Hyslop reported that Hopewell School Employees have raised $5,994, which is 60 percent of their goal.
Contractors have donated $3,075 so far. Valerie Brockett reported Prince George County employees have raised $1,445 to date. Hopewell and Prince George residents have donated over $3,300. George McVay, Industrial Chairman received reports totaling $6,071 to date with many area companies just beginning their campaigns.
