Hopewell – The Appomattox Regional Library System wants you to make a New Year's resolution to read more and meet new people.

Book groups will be meeting at four library locations throughout the year to help you achieve that goal. Hopewell hosts an afternoon book group on the third Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. Carson and Dinwiddie branch libraries have book group meetings on the third Thursday at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively. The new Prince George library hosts a book group at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Or you may join an evening group in Hopewell on the last Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

Book groups read a variety of fiction, mystery, nonfiction, classics and best sellers. The groups are free and require no registration. You can view a complete list of the 2012 book selections and find out more about this and other programming at the library by visiting www.arls.org .
