Two men arrested for June and July 7-11 robberies

Two men have been arrested following an investigation of two robberies that occurred at the 7-11 located at 2311 Oaklawn Blvd. in June and July.
“Tips from the community and a relentless follow-up from our detectives led to the arrest of both suspects. We thank the citizens of Hopewell for their continued support in helping us remove criminals off our streets.” said Chief John Keohane in a statement.
During the robberies, the men displayed a large kitchen knife point and demanded money, fleeing with cash from the registers.
Billy Anthony Charles, 42, of Hopewell has been charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of wearing a mask in public.
Herbert Brown Jr., 26, of Hopewell has been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.
Both offenders are being held at Riverside Regional Jail.
