Aggravated malicious wounding

On December 13 at 2:08 a.m., Hopewell Police responded to the 1000 block of Langston Park Dr. in reference to shots being fired. Officers located the victim in the median on Winston Churchill Dr. just West of Langston Park Dr. The victim had extensive visible injuries to his mouth as a result of being shot by a known offender. EMS responded to the scene, provided emergency medical treatment and subsequently transported the victim to the Southside Regional Hospital for further treatment. The victim has non-life threatening injuries.
Jayvon Antione Dennis is currently wanted by the Hopewell Police Department for Burglary, Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and
Possession of a Firearm after being a Convicted Felon, in connection with this shooting at Langston Park Apartments.
Chief Keohane stated that, “We are utilizing all of our available resources to locate this dangerous offender and get him off the streets as soon as possible”
Dennis is described as being approximately 5’8” and 125 lbs.
