Arrest made in Thomas Rolfe Court shooting

On January 16, 2013, the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force arrested a juvenile male, age 17 of Hopewell, in connection with the shooting that occurred in the Thomas Rolfe Court area. The offender is charged with Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Reckless Handling of a Firearm, Shooting in a Public Place, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, and Underage Possession of a Firearm. The offender is being held at the Crater Juvenile Detention facility.
“We are still asking anyone who might have witnessed this incident to come forward, and we hope that the offender’s incarceration will provide some sense of relief to those who live in the neighborhood,” said Sergeant Rose Camacho.
