HOPEWELL — Two men have been charged after police say video surveillance captured images of the two breaking into a home.
On March 27 at approximately 8 p.m., a residence in the Hopewell Heights area was burglarized. Two suspects were recorded by security cameras installed by the homeowner.
The Hopewell Police Department would like to thank the community for the numerous tips that came in regarding these burglary suspects. As a result of the tips and the follow-up investigation, arrest warrants were obtained and served on two suspects.
Davonte Lamar Taylor, 19, of Hopewell, and Angelo Demarco Gans, 21, of Hopewell, have been arrested and charged with attempted burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and vandalism.
“Time and time again, good media coverage coupled with concerned citizens willing to come forward with information, and then a solid follow up investigation, are the ingredients that add up to a recipe for success,” said Lt. Damon Stoker.
