Fort Lee Boy Scout Troop Wins Several Awards

Kevin Meza, Isaiah Brendel, Tommy Nichols and Kimberly Meza were called out to be Order of the Arrow Ordeal candidates in Scouting’s National Honor Society.

FORT LEE – Fort Lee’s Troop 912 attended Camp T. Brady Saunders Summer Camp from  June 25 - July 1, 2017 with 15 Scouts and 6 adult leaders.  The Scouts completed 71 merit badges. The Troop participated in special programs and won several awards:
 
Trail Blazer (first year Scout) Program - Aidan Baker, Raymond Everett III, Deron Knight, Ishmael Miller & David Sims

Ranger Challenge Program (older boy program on site and in local area) - Ben Skelton 

Mile Swim BSA Award - Kevin Meza

BSA Stand Up Paddleboarding Award - Isaiah Brendel & Kevin Meza
Dory Award (Most Improved Swimmer) - Raymond Everett III

Tomahawk Award (outstanding Scout in the Ranger Challenge Program) - Ben Skelton

Firem’n Chit (right to carry fire lighting devices & build campfires)
 - Aidan Baker, Raymond Everett III, Deron Knight, Ishmael Miller, David Sims 

Totin’ Chip (understands the rights and responsibilities for using pocketknife, ax and saw safely) - Aidan Baker, Raymond Everett III, Deron Knight, Ishmael Miller & David Sims

Clean Sweep Award on Friday (awarded daily at retreat to the Troop with the cleanest campsite of the day)



Retreat Cup Award on Saturday morning (awarded daily to the most impressive looking troop at Retreat)

Order of the Arrow Call Out (Scouting’s National Honor Society) - Scouts Isaiah Brendel, Kevin Meza, Tommy Nichols and Adult Leader Kimberly Meza at Friday night campfire on 6/30/2017.           

Scout Archery shoot out contest - 2nd place Conor McCormick & 
3rd place Thomas Sawka

Scout Master Merit Badge - Rachael Brendel, Kimberly Meza, Rob Davis, Raymond Everett II, Chris Newton, Jared McCormick

Scout Leader Shoot-Off Challenge (archery, skeet and rifle) - Rachael Brendel with 90 points
