Two teens shot in Hopewell

HOPEWELL -- Police are seeking information after two men were shot Thursday night.
At 9:25 p.m. a victim approached a police officer who was patrolling the area of Thomas Rolfe Court and told the officer that he had been shot. The victim was immediately transported to John Randolph Medical Center by the officer for treatment. A second gunshot victim was located in the 200 block of South Ninth Avenue by officers, and the victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment.
One of the victims, a 19-year-old man from Hopewell had sustained a gunshot injury to the left elbow and back area. The second victim, a 19-year-old man from Chester was shot in the buttocks. Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Hopewell Investigators have recovered evidence inside the housing community. Police are seeking the assistance of any witnesses to help determine the events that lead to the shooting.
