Store owners robbed at closing

CHESTERFIELD — Two store owners were robbed by men with a shotgun as they left their business Tuesday night.
Police say the robbery happened in the parking lot of the Marketplace convenience store at 16025 Harrowgate Road, between Colonial Heights and Chester, at about 10:13 p.m. on April 22.
The victims, who own the business, had closed and locked the store and were preparing to leave just after 10 p.m. As the second victim was about to enter his vehicle, he was approached by two men who demanded money. One of the men was armed with what appeared to be a shotgun. The robbers took cash from the victim and cash belonging to the business before fleeing on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
The first robber is described as a male, about 20-25 years old and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a ski mask, dark colored pants and white tennis shoes. This man displayed the firearm. The second robber is described as a male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing black clothing and a ski mask.
