Three gas stations robbed along I-95

Police are investigating a series of robberies that occurred early Wednesday morning at three Circle K gas stations directly off Interstate 95.

Colonial Heights police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred shortly after 3 a.m.

The robber, described as a black male, 6 feet tall and approximately 190 pounds wearing khaki pants and a white T-shirt, entered the business located at 961 Temple Avenue.

He was armed with a rifle or a shotgun and demanded money from the clerk. The robber fled after taking cash and lottery tickets and was last seen running toward Conduit Road.

Chesterfield police are investigating two incidents that occurred a few hours later.

At about 5:30 a.m., a man entered the Circle K at 2320 W. Hundred Road, in Chester, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The robber fled prior to receiving any cash.

At about 6 a.m., a man entered the Circle K at 2117 Willis Road, just north of Chester, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He fled on foot with the cash, headed in the direction of the Waffle House before turning right on Burge Avenue and getting into a waiting vehicle.

Investigators believe the same suspect was involved in both incidents. The suspect was described as a black male, about 24-32 years old with a dark complexion. He was about 6 feet tall and weighed about 190 pounds. He had a muscular build and an injury to his lip. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants.

The suspectís vehicle is described as a cream-colored car, possibly a Dodge Magnum.

Colonial Heights police are working with investigators from Chesterfield to determine if the three incidents are related.

No one was injured in any of the incidents.
