Phyllis Ann Cadger Swing, age 81, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, January 29, 2017 at UNC Hospital.
She was born in Hopewell, Virginia on August 25, 1935 to the late Andrew Cadger and Kate Castel Cadger. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Edwin Swing and a sister Shirley Cadger Robinson.
She is survived by her son LeRoy Swing, Jr and wife Brenda of Waxhaw, NC; three daughters Karen Swing, Valerie Swing Kelly and Melinda Swing Buchanan and husband Ronnie all of Sanford; brother Julian Cadger and wife Minta of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two sisters Mary Cadger of Hopewell, Virginia and Gladys Mullett and husband Kenneth of Colonial Heights, Virginia; brother-in-law Kenneth Robinson of Glen Allen, Virginia. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Kayte Kelly Cochran and husband Brian, Lindsay Chapman and husband Brandon, Chelsea Collazo and husband A.J., Shelby, Jared and Lily Swing and three great-grandchildren Gracyn and Calan Chapman and Theodore Cochran.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Thursday, February 2 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Chaplain Joel Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.

Donald Lee “Donnie” Cox, 61, of Hopewell, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, January 27, 2017.
He was the son of the late Thomas Cox and Goldie Bonds Cox and was also preceded in death by his sister, Dreama Cox Bell. Donnie was a faithful and active member of Enon Church of God. He was a member of the Pastor’s Council and the Board of Trustees.
Donnie was employed with Hercules for many years and later retired from the Chester Allied-Signal (Honeywell). He had a passion for carpentry and enjoyed wood working. He was a selfless man, always helping others before himself.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Ruby Nichols Cox; daughters, Catherine Lowry (Mark), and Patricia Kubler (Daniel); granddaughter, Meagan Lowry; brothers, Ronald Cox and Ricky Cox; sisters, Iva Marlik and Linda Wray; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend and brother-in-law, Rev. Barry Ashbrook.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Enon Church of God, 900 Enon Church Rd., Chester, VA 23836. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Bryan Ogle at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
