By the end of the first half, Meadowbrook was leading the game with 34 points to Hopewell’s 28. In the beginning of the game, fouls hurt the Blue Devils from playing a solid defense along with transition points by Meadowbrook said Edmonds. Taylor led the Blue Devils in points bringing in 22 points for the Devils, behind him was bringing in 18 points. Hopewell caught up but Meadowbrook didn’t let up and the game went into a deadlock of 55 to 55. Both teams battled it out in overtime racking up 9 points apiece.
The game winning difference was two points by Meadowbrook, with the final score: 70 to 68. Jamon Battle took the reins of the Meadowbrook scoring bringing in a total of 29 points for the team. Next week on Tuesday at 7:30 the Blue Devils will play against Colonial Heights at Hopewell High School.
