Daisy Dukes and Boots Saloon is coming to Hopewell along with owner Kimsan Yin. Chesterfieldís only dance bar is opening at 2791 Oaklawn Boulevard in April.
Yin happened to come across the property through his contacts but heís thankful the City of Hopewell has been cooperative in getting the bar up and running. Heís even invited numerous city administrators to his grand opening.
Yinís goal with this expansion is to further solidify Daisy Dukes and Boots Saloon as a franchise and bring the experience of the 80sí country bar back to life.
According to Yin the bar has an occupancy of 99 people. There will be room to sit approximately 50 patrons. While touring the new location, Yin pointed out room for an open dance floor and stage area for musical acts and dancers. The space will also host line dance and square dancing classes for those interested.
Yin hopes to have a staff of several bartenders, cocktail waitress, bus boys and cooks for the back.
Daisy Dukes and Boots has traditionally served Tex-Mex style cuisine but Yin hopes to add something different with this location. Yin wants to add a twist of Asian cuisine to the menu with assorted dishes from his heritage.
Yin knows of locationís unfavorable past and hopes itíll to be laid to rest once the bar is up and running.
Daisy Dukes and Boots location will operate during the hours of 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. There will be a lunch period in the evening from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., dinner from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and nightlife from then onward.
