PG Spring Fling Fine Arts Festival
Mar 6, 2017, 09:38
PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George County Public School students and fine arts teachers invite you and your family to their annual Spring Fling Fine Arts Festival on Saturday, March 11, from 10 am to 2:30 pm at Prince George High School, 7801 Laurel Spring Road.
This free event showcases visual and performing arts of students in grades K-12. There is a charge for activity tables and concessions. This money is used to provide our Fine Arts Educators’ Scholarship program for graduating seniors who plan to pursue a career in the arts. Last year, two seniors were awarded $800 each to go toward their college expenses. Tickets for the activities and concessions may be purchased in the lobby between the gym and auditorium for $.50 per ticket.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to student artwork on display throughout the building and performances in the auditorium and gym, there will be many fun things to see and do in the cafeteria. There will be a professional artist as well as representatives from local youth art outreach programs to talk with. Kids can have their faces painted, made tie dye shirts, decorate cupcakes and more. There will be plenty of hot dogs, snacks and drinks available.
We encourage everyone to come to PGHS on March 11 to support the talented PGCPS students and hard-working fine arts teachers.
