Colonial Heights downs Lady Devils

Hopewell High got off to a good start against Colonial Heights Thursday, scoring a run in the top of the first inning. But, it ended there.
CH got seven in the bottom of that frame and never trailed on the way to a 9-6 Central District softball victory.
Hopewell came back for three scored in the third and two in the fifth, closing to 7-6. But CVH got a pair in the last of the fifth to nail down the victory.
Lyndsey Davis had a triple for two RBIs and scored one run to lead HHS. CH’s Ashley Robinson went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a run and stolen base.
The loss dropped HHS to 3-7, 4-9; CH is 5-5, 9-7.
